What I do know is that I awoke with a newfound appreciation for the United States as well as America, two nations whose exotic dancers accept everything from EBT cards to adderall. Whether it was my social anxiety acting up or the punch to the side of the head I received, I'll never know. I'll never know if it was bleach because, at that point, I blacked out. I was given an error message in the form of yet another slap. When I went to swipe my Diner's Club card in her buttcrack. Said she meant I could use a credit card. She then elaborated on her previous statement.

Again, something apparently got lost in translation, because when I put my M to her A, she very nearly slapped me out of my crocs. When I told her that's all the cash I had on me, she said I should use an ATM instead. Or pretty much anywhere outside of Dave and Buster's. She then politely yet firmly informed me that Dave and Buster's tokens are generally not acceptable forms of currency in jolly old Canada. But it was nothing compared to the one I got when she opened her hand and peered at the money inside. Something must have gotten lost in translation because she gave me a really funny look. While pressing over forty dollars into her hand, I whispered in her ear "let me clear a place for you to sit," then vigorously wiped my face off. The way she didn't make eye contact and called a bouncer over to monitor the dance, I just knew she had feelings for me.Īt the end of it, I decided to ask her out. The waitress was nice enough to give me one. And so I was forced to find other ways to pass the time.īy "other ways," I mean a lap dance. But the crayons turned out not to be gluten-free. They had a "no sweatpants" policy, so you just know they were classy.Īfter settling into a booth, I asked one of the waitresses for crayons and parchment so that I might compose some correspondence to my mother back home. I was in Montreal on business a few months ago and I decided to blow off some steam by visiting a gentlemen's club. I myself made the mistake of falling for a waitress. But if I hadn't, it could very well have helped to change my life.Everything you said is true. Back then, I think I can honestly say that I may very well have turned it off after those first 20 minutes. I couldn't help but think what I would have thought about this movie if I had seen it before I received Christ into my life. I am a Christian and I admired the fact that the makers of "Fireproof" were not shy of bringing forth the Gospel message and how Jesus Christ should be the focal point of a healthy marriage.

This movie kind of reminded me of "Freedom Writers" where overall it was so-so yet contained some very poignant, profound, and memorable scenes. But as the film progressed and reached its climax, there were actually some very powerful and moving moments, performed very impressively by both Kirk Cameron and Erin Bethea. I had a huge problem with the train scene where something significant seemed to happen near the end but was never resolved (and apparently completely forgotten about for the rest of the movie), which was quite bizarre. The script was riddled with trite dialogue and the performances seemed a little stiff. I almost quit on this movie 20 minutes into it.
